Sorcha Vire is an Edinburgh-based writer, filmmaker, and sex-work-focused story consultant.

Her work explores class, power, shame and the erotic grotesque.

Sorcha began in poetry before moving into screenwriting and directing, with work supported by the BFI, Screen Scotland, BAFTA and Channel 4. She also works in prose and is seeking representation for her debut novel, An Inheritance. You can read some of her short works on Substack. Read more about her work here.

Drawing on lived experience, sex workers’ rights advocacy, and professional screenwriting expertise, Sorcha offers story and authenticity consultancy for projects featuring sex work. She advises on workplace realities, social and economic context, language, power dynamics, legal/political framing - helping you avoid empty clichés or dated jargon.
